I have a story.
Evan Santiago knew who he was from a very early age. For as long as he could remember, everybody loved him. He never knew exactly what it was. He just knew that he had something special — A knack for engaging others, telling them stories, and making them feel. These gifts gave him what he needed: attention.
After a rough stint as a child actor, Evan moved with his family from New York City to the Carolinas to join a religious cult. Years later, following his departure from the cult, Evan attended Winthrop University where he studied Mass Communication with a focus on media theory, journalism, film, and content production. From the ages of 17 to 24, Evan touched all forms of media by simultaneously working as an advisory board panelist at Tiger Beat magazine, a radio show host at Seacrest Studios, and a librarian for seven years until resigning upon his university graduation.
Post-grad, Evan co-founded and was creative director for a film and arts digital publication known as Cinésque, where he led a team of nine talented writers and editors. Upon his co-founder’s resignation, Evan assumed the role of editor-in-chief and continued to lead the collective in their artistic efforts throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The collective officially disbanded in 2021 and Cinésque later became a satirical one-man blog, a playground and digital haven for Evan to write about whatever he wants with abandon.
Evan worked briefly as a marketer and copywriter for LPL Financial, and then as a reporter for the Charlotte Observer before going full-time at his dream job.
In October of 2021, Devin Lewtan, an entrepreneur and genius media, tech, and internet girly, approached Evan with a fascinating offer to manage the community for a new company she was building; Mad Realities.
For the next three years, Evan worked as a founding member of the breakout early-stage startup in many roles, starting as a Community Moderator, being swiftly promoted to Community Manager, and then eventually rising to Manager of Marketing, Culture, and Community. Evan’s last and final role at the company was Creative Producer. In this final role, he was tasked with ideating original concepts for social-first shows. Since being founded, the company has generated nearly 150,000,000 views across its entire library of shows.
Nowadays, Evan Santiago is just a guy. More than that though, he is a seasoned storyteller who loves media and entertainment. Though unemployed, he is still native to the world of play-pretend and make-believe.
Dedicated to crafting compelling narratives that captivate audiences, Evan thrives in creative environments where making things up is encouraged. A former hard-news journalist, runaway corporate hack, expert marketer, and diehard curator of chaos, Evan now searches for his next adventure in the heart of New York City, USA - a fantasyland notorious for its delusional, romantic, and blissfully out-of-touch inhabitants.
